About Us

The S.T.A.R.T. Magnet Club started as the Media Technology club, under the direction of
Mr. Benjamin (Ben) A. Melendez, and was established in the 1999-2000 school year. 

Our first club president was Noe Alaniz (1999-2000).

Since then our presidents have been:
Gabriel Gutierrez Jr. and Patty Longoria (2000-2001) Jaime Flores Jr. (2001-2002)
Priscilla Garcia (2002-2003)
Levi Lohrman (2003-2004)
Juan "Gizmo" Hernandez Jr. (2004-2005)

Benjamin "Ben" A. Melendez II (2006-2007)
Cynthia Hernandez and Edna Ramirez (2007-2008) Rubí Martinez (2008-2009 by Acclamation vote)
